Syracuse University will host one of the top unsigned players in the Class of 2009 this weekend.
DaShonte Riley, a 6-foot-11 senior at Detroit Country Day School, will make an official visit to Syracuse this weekend. He will visit the SU campus along with his mother, according to Country Day coach Kurt Keener, and attend Saturday's SU-Georgetown game at the Carrier Dome.
Riley is ranked 57th in the Class of 2009 by Scout.com. He is the 6th-best unsigned player in this year's senior class.
Riley originally committed to Georgetown last spring, but he reversed his decision after visiting the Georgetown campus last fall. High school recruits are permitted five official (paid) campus visits. The Syracuse visit is just the first since Riley visited Georgetown.
According to Keener, Riley is also considering Marquette, Oregon, Oregon State, California and Virginia.
