Tyler Ennis Interested in Syracuse

PGU first spoke to 2013 point guard Tyler Ennis in Portland, OR at the Nike Global Challenge. Ennis has garnered a lot of attention over the summer, so we decided to catch up with the young Canadian guard.

PGU: How has your game improved this summer?
Ennis: I think I got faster, it's getting easier to get to the basket. I also got stronger too, and I've been trying to become a more vocal leader.

PGU: Who has been recruiting you hardest lately?
Ennis: Iowa St, Arizona, West Virginia, Syracuse, and Villanova. Those schools and probably a few others, that's a tough question to answer right now because a lot of schools are contacting me and they might start showing me more interest.

PGU: What do you like about Syracuse?
Ennis: It's a good school and program, and it's close to home. I haven't talked to the Syracuse coaches much but I'm hoping to take an official visit sometime.

PGU: Any other visits planned?
Ennis: I'm thinking about getting down to Georgetown for their midnight madness in October. I really haven't sat down and made decisions about all the places I could visit

PGU: Do you have a timetable on a decision?
Ennis: I don't have a timetable on my decision. I want to cut my list down at some point but I want to consider all the options I have.

PGU: What are your goals for your high school season?
Ennis: I just want to win games. Hopefully we can put together a good season and win a lot of games, that's what's most important to me.
